We helped the crew at Red Bull launch a world first SUP competition on the sunny Gold Coast, here’s what went down.

The Raiders – A Stand Up Team.

For a world-first event, nothing less than spectacular was necessary. From concept to production, we were there to be Red Bull’s wingmen.

Red Bull Watermaze was conceived as a way to serve the growing Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) community. Being the first of its kind, Red Bull enlisted The Raiders team to create the event branding, infrastructure and marketing materials to ensure the polished execution of this landmark competition. The work we completed laid the foundations for the event to be held annually and rolled out globally.

Getting Sketchy

The Raiders took charge over the branding of the event – creating the logo, race maps, signage and marketing collateral. Working within Red Bull’s global style guide we aligned our design concepts to the unique nature of the event. The final concept was given the thumbs up without hesitation.

The key visual was uniformly applied to flyers, posters, social media channels and other marketing collateral to ensure everything was on point.

On Display

As part of the event staging Red Bull required a hero foam display to feature at the main event area. We took the logo and transformed it into a 3D art piece, measuring 2 metres in height and width. Now Red Bull has a fantastic piece of brand infrastructure for future events.

The Big Splash

Perhaps most importantly we were able to provide end-to-end management of the event and collateral. We were there to support Red Bull from pre – to post-production. We understood the hurdles we had to jump and the obstacles we had to overcome to get everything ready for a world first event.
